9.9 hp Evinrude OB (70's) runs fine, but only when primer bulb is constantly pumped. Dies without pumping.? - gas comes out of primer bulb

You start and run very well for a short time. I cleaned the fuel filter when the gas into the machine. He did not. I also tried a new reservoir and hose nine. These two repairs did not work.

Suggestions please!

It may be the fuel pump, but I'm more inclined to believe that the carburetor is clogged, so before buying a gas pump, take the carb off (2 screws) and the container outside. The problem should be clear. Another thing, put the tank above the engine. Gravity Feed. If the float is rubberized to stop. If you are still strong, is the fuel pump.

The engine is not receiving fuel.

Check fuel pump - if there is one. Probably the pump is integrated in the CARB and it works for the vacuum pulses from the crankcase. In this case, you probably need to create new or replace carbohydrates.

Good luck!

Reconstruction of the fuel pump.

Fuel Pump Kit, about $ 12 iboats.com
Remover can work some Permatex # 2, and one or two hours of your time.
